In Ayurved, solutions for all body problems depend on three elements - Vata(air), Pitta(fire) & Kapha(Earth). If any one of them gets imbalanced in our body, then we face diseases related to that element. That's why it is very important to know our body type. Here "dominant" means that particular element is little more compared to other elements. So we should add those food items in our daily diet which can control the dominance of that element to balance Vata, Pitta & Kapha. As per Ayurved, dominance of Kapha is more during 6am to 10 am & 6pm to 10pm in our body. Normally during childhood (age 0 to 14) Kapha dominance is more in our body.
Role of Kapha in our body :It acts as a lubricant for our joints, produces cerebrospinal fluid, gives lusture to our body. It joins our muscular and skeletal system together. It gives protection to our cells.

Problems & Solutions :
Slowness :To avoid slowness in nature, we should add food items which are heat and light in nature, it will decrease the dominance of Kapha. Add bitter, astringent and pungent tastes more in our food.
Laziness & Drowsiness :Do physical activity because heavy exercise reduces Kapha. Kapha dominant people would have mostly heavy body structure and have high risk of obesity, diabetes, fatty liver (due to weak digestion).
Obesity :Oil massage with mustard oil and body scrubbing with gram powder before bath, reduces extra fat.
Ayurvedic Panchkarma :Once in a year, go to ayurvedic center for cleaning of imbalance Kapha. It reduces the chance of diseases like Asthama, Frequent cough cold, diabetes, fatty liver, thyroid, dullness, slow grasping power, acidity, blockage.
Extra Wetness :Due to extra wetness in body they go to urination frequently. They should eat roasted food like: puffed rice, roasted peanuts, bhel and other roasted dry items in their diet to soak the extra wetness. Add bitter taste in food, it has property to soak the wetness.
Late night sleeping :Late night sleeping increases Vata. It is good for people who have extra Kapha in their body to sleep by 12.
Fasting :They should avoid frequent eating, because it disturbs our digetion process. They should eat twice in a day and should keep fasting once in a week. Oil made foods are not good for them.
