As per Ayurved, drinks after food should be as per season and as per our body type. In Ayurved, whatever we drink after food is called as ANUPAAN. And it is very beneficial for our digestion process.

.It gives us satisfaction after our meal.
What we should drink after food :
.One cup of normal water can be consumed by everyone.
.After spicy food or in Summer and Autumn seasons, drink half cup of cold water (clay utensils cold water).
.Luke warm water or soup should be taken after consumption of heavy food like all maida made food, urad food, Non veg.
.People who has slow digetion and if they dont have fainting issue should consume buttermilk after food. Add a pinch of salt and ginger powder in it. In Rainy season this can be consumed by everyone to reduce Vata effect.
.For people with Pitta body type or for those who face burning sensation problems, they should drink a cup of mishri water after food. This can be consumed by everyone in Summer and in Autumn season because in this season, Pitta increases in our body.
.Kapha dominant people should take triphala with honey.
.After consumption of Paneer or Chenna related products drink either curd water or buttermilk with a pinch of salt and ginger powder. Paneer is heavy in nature and takes more time to digest. If we consume a cup of buttermilk after food, it helps in digestion of paneer.
.If you are heavy-weight and if you want to reduce your weight then drink a spoon of honey in normal water after food.
Who should avoid any kind of drink after food :
.In case of ENT disorders (Ear, Nose, Throat), chest related problem or any disease above neck, people should avoid drinking anything after food. They can drink water after one hr of food.
