As per Ayurved, sweet is heavy in nature and it takes more time to digest. While having sweets we should follow below points.
.When our body is very weak and we feel exhausted at that time we should eat natural sweet items. It nourishes our all 7 tissues and gives instant energy.
.Summer Season is best season to consume sweet items. During Summer Season Kapha amount gets low in our body, to maintain the Kapha level we should eat sweet items in Summer Season.
.Always start food with sweet items since it is heavy in nature and takes more time to digest. If we eat sweet items first then it will digest properly due to strong digestive fire.
.After sweet items try to consume food which is sour in taste. Sour taste reduces Vata and helps in digestion of heavy food items.
.If digestive fire is not strong then consume sweet taste in less amount or try to improve digestive fire first. Ginger and pink salt (Sendha Namak) 20 mins before food increases our digestive fire.
.Having sweets after food disturbs our digestion process and due to undigested food toxins releases and gives us diseases like Obesity, Thyroid, Dullness, Laziness, Sleepiness.
