As per Ayurved, our digestive fire (Jathragini) is the most important thing in our body. Because it decides how healthy you would be and how long you will live. There are 4 types of digestive fire found in our body. Those types are:

.Slow digestive fire (Due to dominance of Kapha).

.High digestive fire (Due to dominance of Pitta).

.Odd digestive fire (sometimes digestive fire will be high some time it will be low. Due to dominance of Vata).

.Even digestive fire (their food will digest in 6 hours). Best digestive fire as per Ayurved.

How to balance our digestive fire :

Slow digestive fire :According to Ayurved, Vaman treatment is best for slow digestive fire. It removes the extra layer of Kapha and improves taste and hunger. Because of extra layer of Kapha their food gets digested after 8 hours and due to slow digestive fire they dont feel hungry. They should chew small amount of ginger along with a pinch of sendha namak or pink salt 30 mins before food. It will improve their digestive fire and will help in food digestion.

High digestive fire :According to Ayurved, Virechan treatment is good for high digestive fire. It helps to remove extra Pitta from body. Due to high digestive fire they feel hungry after every 3 hours. Sweet taste foods like milk, jaggery , paneer is good for them to eat, because it is heavy in nature.

Odd digestive fire :According to Ayurved, Basti treatment is good for them. Due to extra Vata in their body some times they feel very hungry sometimes they dont feel hungry. They should drink cooked rice water (Maand) along with a pinch of heeng & sauchar salt or pink salt. It will help them to improve their digestive fire. Basti treatment is good for Vata related problem.

Even digestive fire :According to Ayurved, even digestive fire is best digestive fire and no treatment is required for them. They should follow the food habits written in Ayurved. It will help them to maintain their digestive fire and will keep them healthy.
