Summer Hair Care Tips : In Summer season due to excess heat sweat accumulates on scalp & on skin. Due to this accumulated sweat we face itchy skin & scalp problems. If it is not cured on time then later it turns into fungal infection or psoriasis. In ayurved, hair & skin care for summer is different. In this season Kapha reduces and Vata and Pitta increases in our body. We should avoid spicy, salty & sour food in this season and should add sweet, bitter & astringent taste in food. In summer we need something which is cold in nature and can equally work on skin & hair. Coconut is the best fruit to consume in summer season because it is cold in nature. It works well on hair & skin and helps to reduce Vata & Pitta.
How To Take Care Of Hair In Summer :
1. If you want to keep your hair & skin healthy in summer season from inside then add coconut in your daily meal. If your digestion is very weak then consume this in less amount because Coconut is sweet and heavy in nature. Dry Coconut could be consumed by people whose digestion is weak because it becomes lighter than raw Coconut.
2. Massage your hair and full body with coconut oil 10 mins before bath. When we take bath Vata increases in our body and redcues our natural Kapha (moisture). Oil massage reduces Vata and gives strength to hairfollics & boost our muscles. In summer already our muscle strength is low due to absence of Kapha so it is mandatory to give strength to our muscles.
3. Put 2 drops of Coconut oil or ghee in nose in the morning, it will work on brain as well as on hair. Sometimes due to heat (Pitta) hair starts becoming white. Coconut oil & ghee both reduces Pitta and stops premature greying.
4. If your skin becomes oily in summer season then take some fresh aloevera gel mix it with fresh coconut water and apply it on face. This face pack reduces excess oil from face, reduces pimples and dark brown spots on face. It lightens our skin tone if it is used regulary. If your skin is not oily then use this face pack only in summer season.
5. Consume coconut water in Summer & Autumn seasons . It keeps our stomach cool & helps in cleaning urinary related issues. If our stomach is cool during Summer & Autumn seasons then Pitta won't increase and it will protect our skin from red pimples. Acne & Pimples free skin depends on the quality of our Pitta.
6. Coconut purifies blood and keeps our skin free from tiny pimples.
